Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Insurance Coordinator. The Insurance Coordinator will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, processing claims, and ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement for medical services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and insurance procedures.

Duties:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Process insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure proper coding (ICD-10, ICD-9)
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any claim issues or discrepancies
- Collaborate with medical providers to obtain necessary documentation for claims submission
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist patients with insurance inquiries and provide guidance on coverage and benefits
- Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and managed care plans
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office is highly desired
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and insurance procedures
- Familiarity with ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 per week

Experience:

• Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical billing: 1 year (Preferred)
